Since 2000, Statheads Sports has provided a unique, head-to-head fantasy sports experience. With a focus on customer service and satisfaction, Statheads appeals to the the "stathead" in all sports fans. Hundreds of people have joined our fantasy sports community to compete in our unique and challenging games. Statheads began in 1996 as an e-mail competition among a group of college friends and their families. The familiar daily points-based game system was created by Ray and Phil Campbell and has been tweaked over the course of many seasons by a dedicated group -- many of whom still play Statheads today in the CPS Founders League. In 1998 the system was moved onto the worldwide web as Basepaths Fantasy Baseball. The hand-calculated match results were replaced by automated stats, e-mails replaced by message boards, and a new online community was born. By the end of 2003 Basepaths supported over 100 leagues. In 2005 Basepaths was re-launched as Statheads Fantasy Sports and added a fantasy football game. In 2007 our distinctive head-to-head system was applied to fantasy basketball. Today Statheads is focused on providing the best fantasy baseball game to a dedicated player community. Players participate in off-season focus discussions aimed at improving the game and experience for everyone. Fair play and competition with respect are the hallmarks of the community our players have created on the Statheads site.
